Scholars Dinner

The Farm & Frolic Scholars Dinner was a fantastic way to start the new school year, bringing together current scholars, families, and mentors in a lively atmosphere! The highlight of the evening was the exciting announcement of the Farm and Frolic Scholarship program, inspired by the success of previous trips to Michigan.

A new initiative we introduced provides an opportunity for students to further explore their educational journey, with current Tengelsen Family Scholars being invited to consider taking on roles as Junior Counselors.

The evening had a special portion where students had the chance to share the experience with their parents while also dedicating a portion of the evening to connect separately with mentors and peers. Simultaneously, adults engaged with experts from the Big Shoulders Fund, focusing on High School entrance exams and College applications - emphasizing our commitment to working collaboratively with families.

At the end of the evening, scholars were presented with a curated selection of new books to choose from and take home!
